Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

A Message from the Pastor

Joshua 1:8-9 8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

This scripture is a delight to my soul. It encourages and strengthens my heart and mind to consider how much God wants to prosper me in my spiritual life. There are three commandments in this scripture that help me achieve that, if I set my mind to follow those commandments. The first commandment is to meditate on the scriptures daily. What does it mean to meditate here? The answer to that is held within verse 8 Meditate on it day and night. We should ponder God’s word from the time we rise to the time you lay your head to rest at the end of our day. In other words, don’t just read the scripture and move on with the rest of your day, rather consider what God is saying to you through that scripture throughout the day being careful not to confuse what God is saying to you with what you want God to say to you. Be careful not to twist the word of God to fit your life, lest the blessings of God’s word will not serve to successfully transform your life and prosper you spiritually.

The next commandment is to be strong and courageous. God understands the challenges of leaving what we have become accustomed to for the transformations that the scriptures inspire us to make in our lives. The healthy transformations in our lives are what reveal God’s healing presence in our lives.

The next commandment in this scripture addresses the negative thoughts that serve to deter us from allowing the Holy Spirit to move us toward sanctification or becoming more Christ like and less ruled by the sin in our lives. Do not be terrified or dismayed. Like I said, it can be scary and at the very least uncomfortable to leave behind what we have become accustomed to in our lives even if it is unhealthy for us and our relationship with God. But God ensures us that if we do meditate on His word the transition to a healthier life both spiritually and physically, He will be with us to confirm, strengthen, and establish us to a position of honor in His kingdom. God promises us that He will be with us to give us the strength and the courage to face the challenges of living a transformed life and help us overcome the fear that serves to both terrify and dismay us to help ensure that we will prosper and achieve success.
Praise the God who promises us that He will be with us wherever we may go.
